Minister of National Security and Member of Parliament for Freetown, the Hon. Wayne Munroe gave an update on the West Grand Bahama Police Station while addressing the House Of Assembly on Monday.

Munroe revealed that the building will be demolished. He said, “that paperwork has gone to the accounts section of the Ministry of National Security so that the demolition of that station may take place. As Minister Wilchcombe has promised and as he (Member of West Grand Bahama and Bimini) has reaffirmed to the people who he represents.”

He added, “I can say to the people of West Grand Bahama and Bimini that when we came into office they had not even gotten started of the demolition and replacement of a police station that was damaged in September 2020, but West Grand Bahama and Bimini you should see action on that shortly.”
