Yellow Elder Homicide

Police are investigating the death of Demarcus McIntosh of Nelson Street in Yellow Elders Gardens. He was shot at his residence on Monday afternoon.

Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings was on the scene where she briefed reporters. She said, “again we see a small Japanese vehicle and I make an appeal to members of the public especially those persons who know the their residents or their neighbours do not possess small Japanese vehicles and you see a Japanese vehicle at the rear of someone’s home or on a property, we’re asking you to give us a call.”

Police confirmed that McIntosh was known to them but was not being monitored at the time of his death. Attorney for the family of the deceased Wilver Deleveaux was also on the scene and spoke about the victim. “My knowledge of him, very respectful young man. I’ve represented the family and in many cases I’ve found him to be a person of good standing.”

The victim’s father, Nathan McIntosh described him as a loving boy. “Every lil children around here is look up to him. I train him how to do mechanic work, body work and everything and he was the best at it. Everybody around here knows him well.”

Demarcus McIntosh was 29 years old.
