The family of Philip Stubbs, 80, are seeking information about his whereabouts. Stubbs also known as ‘Big Mama’ was last seen on Monday at his home on Candlefish Street on the island of Grand Bahama.

The Member of Parliament for Central Grand Bahama, the Hon. Iram Lewis is assisting with the search for Stubbs. Lewis spoke with ZNS News on Tuesday. He said, “we rallied the troops. We were on the ground last night in the Caswell Beach area, Bahama Terrace area. I went by the Farm this morning looking for him and so far we’ve not been able to locate him. But we want to get the word out that its important that we as a community come together. First thing this morning I authorized my staff members to create a flyer because you want to use as much tools as possible.”

According to Lewis, Stubbs suffers from Dementia and Diabetes. He also said that this is the first time Stubbs has gone missing. “What is so ironic is that Dementia is now prevalent in communities. Families out there they’re under stress. So in this case we’re urging the public to do what you can to partner in this initiative.”

Police are investigating the matter and have issued a missing persons notice.
